The girl was so scared she locked all her doors and windows. She made sure her room was secured. She wasn't sure if it was a joke or for real. She didn't know when he was going to come. The girl was so frightened she decided to sleep with her little sister. The girl dozed off quickly.
Then she heard a knock on the window. The girl slowly walked to the window. It started knocking louder. The girl looked through the windows and saw nothing... just some of the tree branches. The girl went back to bed with her sister. The bed was wet and had a pretty horrid smell. Maybe her sister wet the bed... the girl checked and found blood everywhere. The girl panicked. She didn't know what to do. She ran and hid in the closet in case the killer was there for her. While looking through the cracks of the closet the girl saw a shadow. It was dark, so she couldn't figure out who it was. She started to get more frightened. The shadow crept closer to the closet. The girl closed her eyes as if it was a dream. Then suddenly he opened the closet door and pulled her out.
Her parents found her dead the next morning. She was completely skinned and hanging in her sister's closet. The younger sister was also found skinned and dead.
PART 2...
Two years after the Smith sisters deaths, the parents had a baby boy. The girl's room became a guest room and the little sister's room where the murder took place became the baby's room. The baby grew up to be a successful kid.

Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ ２０那年中秋节前夕的某个夜晚，地震了。
当时我趴在寝室上铺看书，突然一阵天摇地动，整栋宿舍楼像块大豆腐般剧烈摇晃，而且好像没有要停止的迹象。
广场上早就站满了从各大宿舍逃亡出来的人，大家都在讨论这次地震怎么会这么久、这么强，并开始猜测震央的位置，以及押注明天会不会停课。
我空拿着手机焦虑不已，因为对外通讯几乎呈现塞满的状态。我不停按着回放键，反复打回家、打给女友、打给沈佳仪，却只听见苍茫急促的嘟嘟声。
好不容易联络上家人与女友，知道两家一切无恙后，我却一直联络不上沈佳仪。我的心越来越不安。
“九把刀，要不要换个地方打！”石孝纶晃着手机建议，“这里人太多了，基地台超载，我们骑车出去，往人少的地方打看看！”
我骑着机车离开交大，往竹东偏僻的地方骑，时不时停下来打手机。
直到接通沈佳仪的手机，已经过了好久好久。
“你没事吧？”我松了口气。
“没事啊，只是刚刚的地震真的很可怕。”沈佳仪余悸犹存。
“你没事就好……听我住在台北的同学说，他们家附近的旅馆倒了下来，所以震央说不定真的在台北？吁——总之，你没事，真的太好了。”我将机车停在路边，熄火。
“你真好。到现在还是那么关心我，我真的很感动。”她幽幽说道。
“感动个大头鬼，你可是我追了八年的女生耶，你不见了，我以后要找谁回忆我们的故事啊。”我哼哼，故意扯开情绪。
好不容易接通，我可不愿就此挂上电话。
由于我喜欢沈佳仪的“历史”实在是太久了，女友心中对沈佳仪始终存有芥蒂，为了避免跟女友吵架，我跟沈佳仪之间的联络越来越少，联络越少，可以聊的话题就变得很局限，甚至到了两三个月才联络一次的稀薄。
但我却因此更加珍惜可以聊天的时间。例如现在。
借着一场排山倒海的大地震，那夜我们像以前一样，东拉西扯聊了起来，许多高国中时代的回忆被一鼓作气打翻，泄了满地。
我的情感，也被莫可名状的魔法缠卷包覆，在跌宕的回忆里打滚。
沈佳仪舍不得挂电话，我也不介意被风吹整夜。
“记不记得在大学联考分数公布那晚，你曾经问过我，愿不愿意听你的答案？”我顺着风向问道。
“当然记得啊，我想讲，但你硬是不肯听。”她可得意了。
“我那个时候没有勇气，现在不一样了……我想听。”
“你啊，错过了大好机会呢。”
我莞尔。
“那个时候我就不明白，为什么你不肯听我说喜欢你，想跟你在一起呢？你求我别讲，我也就不想自己说了。”
“……”我从莞尔变成苦笑。
“柯景腾，你总是太有自信，口口声声说总有一天一定会追到我、娶我，却在面对答案的时候很胆小呢。”她嘲弄着我。
“因为当时我太喜欢你啦，喜欢到，如果你的答案将我拒于千里之外，我会不知道自己该怎么面对你……面对我自己。”我很老实，搔着头。
“不过我也有错。”
“喔？强者沈佳仪也会犯错？”
“什么强者啊？”她扑哧一笑：“常常听到别人说，恋爱最美的部分就是暧昧的时候，等到真正在一起了，很多感觉就会消失不见了。当时我想，你不想听到答案，干脆就让你再追我久一点，不然你一旦追到我之后就变懒了，那我不是很亏吗？所以就忍住，不告诉你答案了。”
“可恶，早知道我就听了。”我恨恨不已，“所以我们重复品尝了恋爱最美的暧昧时期，却没吃到最后的果实。混账啊，你果然要负一半责任。”
“还敢说……谁知道那个老是说要娶我的人，竟然一点挫折都受不起，骂两句就嚷着放弃，没几天就跑去交女朋友。好像喜欢我是假的耶！”她糗我。
“哈，不知道是谁喔？竟然用光速交了男朋友这种方式来响应我呢。说我幼稚，自己也没好到哪里去嘛！”我糗回去。
我们哈哈大笑，畅怀不已。
哔哔，哔哔……我的手机发出电量即将用罄的警示声。
“快没电了。”
“谢谢你今晚会想到要打电话关心我。”
“嗯。我才要谢谢你告诉我当年的答案，说真的，我松了口气，你的答案让我知道我对你的喜欢，原来一直都是有响应的，而不是我一个人在跳舞，对我很重要。”我看着城市上空的红色星光，说，“我的青春，从不是一场独白。”
“你说得真感性，也许有一天你会当作家喔。”
“那么，再见了。”
“等等……”她急着说。
“喔？”
“如果手机没有突然断讯，再让你听见一个，应该会让你臭屁很久的事吧。”
“洗耳恭听。”
“自从你交了女朋友，我还以为你对我的喜欢，迟早都会让你跟你女朋友分手，那时就可以名正言顺跟你在一起了。结果等啊等，你们一直都好好的，让我很羡慕，可是也没办法。”
什么跟什么啊？但我还真的很感动。
然而人生不是一个人的，喜欢，也不是一个人的。
我已经将另一个女孩嵌进我的人生，那女孩的人生亦然。我无法掉头就走，那也是我珍贵守护的爱情。
“没办法，我就是这种人。一旦喜欢了，就得全力以赴。”我承认。
“是啊，我喜欢你是这种人。但其实今年愚人节，我原本要打电话给你，问你想不想跟我在一起。”她的语气轻快，并没有失望。
“真的假的！”我大吃一惊。
“真的啊。如果你回答不要，那我还可以笑着说是愚人节的玩笑。如果你点头说好，那么，我们就可以在一起啦。”沈佳仪大大方方地说。
瞬间，我整个人无法动弹。
“一点，都不像是沈佳仪会做出来的事耶？”我讶然。
“是啊，所以够你得意的吧，柯景腾。”她逗趣。
几乎无话可说，我内心充满感激。
“少了月老的红线，光靠努力的爱情真辛苦，错过了好多风景。”我真诚希望，“也许在另一个平行时空，我们是在一起的。”
“……真羡慕他们呢。”她同意。
沈佳仪的声音，消失在失去电力的手机里。
我没有立刻发动机车，只是呆呆地回忆刚刚对话的每一个字，想象着久未谋面的她，脸上牵动的表情。真想凝视着沈佳仪，看着她亲口说出这些话的模样。
